Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Manager to join our fast-growing firm. The Manager will oversee a variety of tax, audit and other assignments, supervising Staff and Senior Accountants, mentoring teams, and developing client relationships to increase office profitability.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, high-quality deliverables, and opportunities to engage with clients and Partners. Some positions may be remote or hybrid depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA license preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in public accounting or balance of education/work experience.
• Exhibit expert understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical issues and other decisions.
• Oversee completion of engagements with minimal oversight.
• Supervise and mentor staff, including guiding and educating them in technical areas.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying, meeting with and pursuing new clients.
• Find opportunities to turn acquired knowledge into high value-added opportunities for clients.
• Promote the Firm’s image by participating on conference panels and trainings.
• Develop and grow client relationships through professionalism and service orientation.
• Increase office profitability by efficient time management.
