Job summary

Withum's Audit and Attest Engagement services drive confidence in financial information for a diverse client base. As an Audit Supervisor based out of the firm, you will lead engagements from planning through completion, mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA licensure or active CPA candidacy, and 3+ years in public accounting with proven leadership across multiple engagements. Travel as needed; hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews or compilations to provide world-class client service.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting.
• Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and promote open communication with the engagement partner.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and regulatory/accounting guidance.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss performance with team members.
• Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
