Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements from planning to completion, mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships. The role is based out of Houston, TX with cross-functional collaboration across seasoned CPAs and industry leaders.

You will manage staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting while guiding the engagement team to deliver high-quality service and solutions. Strong leadership and CPA background are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license or working toward CPA certification.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience leading engagements.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity of US GAAP.
• Excellent client service and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leading the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audits, reviews or compilations.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing to financial reporting and conclusion.
• Providing supervision and support to engagement staff, seniors and supervisors.
• Collaborating with team on client issue resolution and advising on regulatory/ accounting issues.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Tracking engagement budgets and identifying inefficiencies; providing guidance to staff.
• Involvement in professional development programs as instructor or discussion leader.
