Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5 – 8 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• CPA license is required; equivalent certifications are required for IT audit.
• Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement.
• Specific positions may require additional industry or specialization certifications.
• Experience in professional service environment, such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of audit professionals in planning, executing, and concluding audit engagements.
• Ensure adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and firm standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact for audit engagements.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients for improving financial processes, controls, and reporting.
• Collaborate with partners and directors to develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans.
• Oversee the allocation of resources, assignment of roles, and development of audit programs.
• Conduct complex audit procedures, review workpapers, and assess audit findings.
• Monitor the progress of audit engagements, guiding to meet milestones.
• Stay current with evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Provide expert guidance to the team on complex accounting and auditing issues.
• Coach and mentor audit staff and senior team members, fostering continuous learning.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skill development.
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of audit documentation and conclusions.
• Identify opportunities to expand the firm’s client base and service offerings.
