Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a Principal to oversee audit engagements and technical reviews under Partner supervision. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, aligning with engagement teams, and delivering high-quality work across varied client projects.

The ideal candidate has CPA licensure, 15+ years in public accounting audits, and strong knowledge of complex project- and fund-level audits, with the ability to research and document technical conclusions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license required.
• 15+ years of public accounting audit experience.
• Experience reviewing complex project-level or fund-level audits.
• Strong technical understanding of auditing and accounting standards.
• Ability to travel domestically if required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned audit engagements and technical review with planning, staffing, timing and quality documentation.
• Conduct thorough technical engagement reviews of financial statements and audit workpapers.
• Supervise and mentor staff, guiding technical areas and professional development.
• Identify high value-added opportunities for existing clients and support our technical reputation.
• Maintain relationships with clients through responsiveness and professional competency.
• Develop technical expertise and manage time to support multiple engagements.
