Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Supervisor based in Houston, TX, to lead audit engagements from planning through completion and mentor staff. This role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, client service acumen, and the ability to manage multiple engagement teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting, a CPA (or in progress) and 3+ years of public accounting experience, with travel as needed. A competitive benefits package and bonus program are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• CPA license or working toward CPA with parts passed
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, leading engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity in US GAAP
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent presentation skills
• Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews or compilations for clients
• Oversee day-to-day operations from staffing and risk assessment to reporting
• Supervise staff and promote open communication with the engagement partner
• Collaborate with seniors and partners on issue resolution and regulatory considerations
• Manage multiple engagements with different teams to meet deadlines
• Create and monitor engagement budgets and provide guidance to team members
• Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
