Job summary

Withum Smith+Brown, PC is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead engagement teams based in Houston, TX. You will oversee planning, staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client relationships.

This role emphasizes technical excellence and proactive communication with clients and partners. The ideal candidate has a CPA or CPA candidacy, 3+ years of public accounting experience, and strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.
Public accounting experience with multiple engagements desired.
Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills with GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations.
Oversee day-to-day operations from staffing to financial reporting and conclusion.
Provide supervision to staff, seniors, and supervisors and mentor team members.
Collaborate with team and partners on issue resolution and regulatory guidance.
Manage multiple engagements and meet client deadlines concurrently.
Monitor engagement budgets and participate in staff development programs.
