Job summary

Withum Smith+Brown, PC is seeking an Audit Supervisor in Houston, TX to lead audit engagements from planning through completion. You will supervise staff and mentor the team while building durable client relationships and ensuring quality work in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, a CPA license or progress toward CPA, and at least 3 years of public accounting experience with multiple engagements.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• : CPA license or progress toward CPA certification required with parts passed.
• : Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience leading engagements and supervising staff.
• : Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills; familiarity with US GAAP.
• : Superior client service and communication skills with ability to manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• : Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations.
• : Oversee day-to-day operations of engagements including staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork and financial reporting.
• : Provide supervision to staff, seniors, and supervisors; mentor and counsel engagement teams.
• : Collaborate with seniors, supervisors, and partners on issue resolution and regulatory considerations.
• : Manage multiple engagements with diverse teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
• : Create and track engagement budgets and identify inefficiencies.
• : Conduct performance discussions and contribute to professional development.
• : Represent the firm in client discussions and maintain strong relationships.
