Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Midwest-based law firm with a national footprint. The role focuses on providing comprehensive legal advice, handling insurance defense matters, and supporting corporate and transactional needs while maintaining high professional standards.

Candidates should have a Juris Doctor and bar admission, with at least 3 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the legal field.
• Ability to manage multiple, challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate law, litigation, contracts, insurance, privacy, IP, and employment.
• Handle insurance defense cases from inception through trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues with significant business impact.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to protect the company's rights.
• Advise management on various legal issues affecting the business.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Develop trial strategies and arguments for case presentations.
• Monitor changes in legislation and accreditation standards affecting the company.
• Develop and deliver training on legal matters to ensure organizational compliance.
