Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our in-office litigation team and support a busy insurance defense practice across the region. Responsibilities include handling matters from intake through resolution, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and attending court conferences, depositions, and mediations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar admission in NY/NJ/PA.
• 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and correspondence.
• Manage written discovery and document review.
• Attend court conferences, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Work with insurance carriers, insured clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Analyze liability, damages, and case strategy.
• Prepare cases for settlement, arbitration, and trial.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and team.
• Meet a 2,080 annual billable hour requirement.
