Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Senior Assortment Analyst to own the analytical framework behind assortment planning and performance. You will design SKU-level methodology and deliver recommendations shaping what we carry and how we buy.

In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end productivity reporting, guide rationalization efforts, and set analytical standards while mentoring junior analysts. This is a senior IC role with path to manager in merchandising or analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
• 4–7 years of analytical experience in retail merchandising, planning, or analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation across systems.
• Strong communication and storytelling to present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience mentoring analysts or reviewing analytical work for quality.

Responsibilities

• Own assortment productivity reporting end to end, including velocity, sell-through, margin, and inventory productivity.
• Lead rationalization analysis for tail SKU exit and portfolio optimization.
• Develop depth/breadth models for item/program investment and price point coverage.
• Identify whitespace opportunities via market, consumer, and competitive analysis.
• Set methodology, QA standards, and supervise junior analysts.
