Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in New York seeks a Senior Associate for PEPI HR M&A to provide pre‑deal and post‑deal human capital support across defined benefit pensions, retirement welfare, equity compensation, and HR operations.

The role involves managing data rooms, building workforce models, and drafting diligence reports, while coordinating with finance, IT, and other practice groups to quantify HR risks and opportunities in transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR management or related field.
• 3–6 years of HR consulting or M&A experience.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with defined benefit pensions, equity compensation, or HR operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support pre‑acquisition due diligence with a focus on employee benefits and remuneration.
• Support post‑acquisition HR activities including merger integration and HR operations.
• Manage data room activities, build workforce models, and draft diligence reports.
• Coordinate with finance, IT, and other practice groups to quantify HR risks in transactions.
