Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Associate in the Fraud Strategy team within Risk Management and Compliance. You will generate analytics to inform risk criteria, implement controls, and monitor performance, balancing risk with revenue impact.

You will monitor fraud trends, propose defenses using firm-wide data and ML, and work with partners to deliver fraud-fighting capabilities while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of professional experience related to risk management, strategic analytics, or data science.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages SAS, SQL, Python.
• Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data to monitor and uncover behaviors and trends in fraudulent activity.
• Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication; proficient in Excel & PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
• High degree of initiative, self direction, and ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fraud trends in the portfolio to develop insights around gaps in defenses and propose solutions using data from across the firm, advanced ML models, and analytics.
• Develop strategies balancing fraud losses, operational expenses, and customer impacts from fraud prevention efforts.
• Collaborate with partners across the firm to deliver on joint priorities that keep customers safe while enabling business growth.
• Work closely with the fraud risk technical product team to deliver best-in-class fraud-fighting capabilities.
