Job summary

BRG is a leading economics, investigations and disputes firm hiring a Senior Associate or Consultant to work on complex commercial disputes and investigations. You will collaborate with experts and staff out of BRG’s Houston office at least three days a week, with parking covered.

The role requires 2–4 years in accounting/consulting, CPA consideration, and solid Excel and data-analysis skills. An emphasis on delivering accurate analyses and high-quality reports is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field. A five-year accelerated program is highly preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in audit, forensics, or dispute & damages at an accounting or consulting firm.
• CPA certification or working toward one is important for growth.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the relationship between debits, credits, and financial statements.
• Proven capability with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Foundational experience with statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R, Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets and files as dictated by project needs.
• Assist in analyzing financial statements, ledgers, tax returns, and other financial documents to meet project objectives.
• Support in preparing expert witness reports with analyses and industry research.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis, summarize literature and data from public and client sources.
• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop complex financial models, including discounted cash flows.
• Use relevant software tools and data analysis methods to develop solutions.
• Organize and maintain case documents, create electronic libraries, and retrieve documents as needed.
• Audit own work and colleagues' output to ensure quality.
• Collaborate in a team environment and meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attend group practice meetings and travel as needed.
