BRG’s Forensic, Technology, Investigations & Discovery practice is seeking a Senior Associate to work from BRG’s Houston, Chicago, or New York City offices to support complex financial disputes and investigations.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engagement professionals on forensic accounting, business valuation, lost profits, and economic damages analyses supporting expert opinions in litigation and other dispute proceedings.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required; CPA preferred.
• 2–4 years in public accounting, audit, forensic accounting, valuation or related advisory practice.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial statement analysis, and professional skepticism.
• Proficient Excel; good Word/PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze financial statements, ledgers, tax returns, and data to identify issues.
• Trace transactions, reconcile records, and support investigations of fraud or misstatement.
• Research GAAP and evaluate accounting treatments against standards.
• Support post-closing disputes, including working capital adjustments and earn-outs.
• Develop financial models for lost profits, damages, and valuations.
• Assess forecasts and reasonableness of projections.
• Draft expert report sections and prepare exhibits and schedules.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, and regulatory proceedings.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and related-party balances for expert analyses.
• Maintain reproducible workpapers with clear source references.
• Review work for accuracy and maintain high quality and confidentiality.
• Communicate findings to teams and contribute to client discussions.
• Collaborate across engagements and travel as required.
