Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant statistical programming experience within pharma/biotech/CRO/healthcare.
• Experience with Optum and Truveta.
• Advanced programming in SAS and/or R for epidemiological analyses.
• Experience with large healthcare data sources (claims, EHR, registries).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to statistical programmers supporting epidemiological and real-world evidence studies.
• Lead hands-on programming activities translating study objectives into robust analyses.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SAS and/or R programs for analysis datasets and outputs.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, and cross-functional partners on programming approaches.
• Mentor colleagues and promote standards, quality, and best practices.
• Oversee and review programming deliverables for accuracy, reproducibility, and timelines.
• Support analyses using diverse data sources (claims, EHR, registries).
• Develop datasets, TAs, QC procedures, and documentation for transparent analyses.
• Promote reusable tools, macros, and programming standards across projects.
