Job summary

Cytel is seeking an Associate Director, Epidemiological Statistical Programming to lead senior-level programming for epidemiology and real-world evidence studies. You will mentor programmers, set standards, and ensure high-quality analyses across therapeutic areas.

You will develop and validate SAS and/or R programs, collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, and CRO partners, and drive automation and scalable processes while delivering timely, regulatory-ready outputs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of statistical programming in pharma/CRO/life sciences.
• Expertise in SAS and/or R; capable of developing complex, reproducible programs.
• Experience with epidemiology, observational studies, and real-world evidence (RWE).
• Ability to lead, mentor, and review programming work; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to epidemiological programmers.
• Lead hands-on programming for epidemiological studies across therapeutic areas.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SAS and/or R programs for analyses.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, and CRO partners.
• Provide expert technical consultation on programming, data, and analyses.
• Oversee and review deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Support analyses using real-world data sources (claims, EHR, registries).
• Develop analysis-ready datasets and documentation for reproducibility.
• Promote programming standards, reusable tools, and best practices.
• Drive automation and scalable processes across projects.
• Assist in planning and prioritization of programming work.
• Support regulatory submissions, publications, and evidence generation.
