Job summary

Cytel is seeking an Associate Director of Epidemiological Statistical Programming to lead and mentor a team supporting epidemiological and real-world evidence studies within sponsor engagements. You will translate study objectives into robust programming solutions and collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and data scientists to deliver high‑quality analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of statistical programming experience in pharma/biotech or CRO settings.
• Experience with SAS and/or R for complex analyses.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with real-world data sources and regulatory deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to epidemiological programmers.
• Lead hands-on programming for epidemiological studies across therapeutic areas.
• Develop and maintain SAS and/or R programs for analyses and data outputs.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and data scientists.
• Mentor teammates, review technical approaches, and promote best practices.
• Oversee deliverables to ensure quality and timelines.
• Support analyses using real-world data such as claims and EHR.
• Help develop SOPs and reusable programming tools.
• Contribute to planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
