Job summary

Leoforce, a growing Houston-area company, seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee the general ledger, close processes, and financial reporting. You will partner with operations and leadership to drive accuracy and process improvements.

The role requires CPA, 5+ years of accounting and supervisory experience, and a strong GAAP background. Experience in manufacturing or distribution is highly valued, with ERP proficiency (SAP/NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory exposure.
• Background in manufacturing or distribution is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in overseeing all aspects of the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to drive financial accuracy and process improvements.
• Help manage and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key liaison during audits and work closely with external auditors.
