Job summary

Target's Senior Target Security Specialist at the Suffolk Regional Distribution Center seeks a proactive security professional to lead physical security and safety culture across the facility, manage crisis response, and partner with stores, operations and asset protection teams.

You will conduct patrols, investigate theft and shortages, coordinate with drivers, operate security tech, and support onboarding and documentation updates, while delivering reliable, confidential, and compliant service

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Respond quickly and remain calm during crisis situations.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess or obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Able to operate powered equipment safely (Pallet Rider, Scissor Lift, Forklift).
• Experience in loss prevention, security, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a physical security and safety culture at the distribution center.
• Identify, prevent, and investigate theft and shortage using technology and partnerships.
• Operate Target-owned vehicles for yard and perimeter patrols.
• Lead and/or support asset protection projects and emergency procedures.
• Onboard new Asset Protection team members.
• Review and update routine documentation as needed.
