Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to support credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients within the Bank of America Business Capital (BABC) group. This role involves leading transactions, evaluating credit exposure, and negotiating loan documentation with internal and external partners.

The candidate will analyze financials, structure loans, and ensure adherence to credit policies while mentoring teammates and coordinating with risk management.

Qualifications

• High level of credit underwriting experience
• Ability to manage complex transactions
• Knowledge of legal documentation (term sheets, credit agreements)
• Strong collaboration with internal/external partners

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decisions
• Reviews work of junior teammates and ensures compliance with policies and regulations
• Interfaces with clients, financial sponsors, and outside counsel to close transactions
• Evaluates credit quality and monitors operating performance for ongoing risk management
