Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to support underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients within Bank of America Business Capital (BABC).

In this role you will independently manage transactions of moderate complexity, perform financial analysis, structure loans, and coach teammates on credit requirements while upholding policy and regulatory standards. Located in Los Angeles, CA, with in-office culture and flexible role-specific arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience credit, underwriting, and structuring of corporate lending transactions.
• Able to operate independently on complex and sensitive credit transactions.
• Deep knowledge of Legal Documentation (commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements).

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring with limited to moderate complexity.
• Independently collaborates with Relationship Management, Risk teammates to understand structuring needs.
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, and economic analyses to support loan decisions.
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback and ensure compliance with laws and policy.
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external partners.
• Interfaces with clients, sponsors, and outside counsel to document and close transactions.
