Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to support underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients within Bank of America Business Capital (BABC). The role involves independently managing portfolios, conducting in-depth credit analysis, and negotiating loan documentation.

You will work with relationship management and risk teams to structure financing opportunities and ensure timely, accurate analyses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience credit underwriting and structuring of corporate lending transactions.
• Ability to work independently on complex and sensitive credit deals.
• Familiarity with legal documentation (commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements).

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolios with limited to moderate complexity.
• Lead financial modeling, loan structuring, and analyses to support loan decisions.
• Review junior staff work and ensure compliance with laws and policy procedures.
• Lead loan structure conversations and coordination of loan documentation with internal/external counsel.
• Interface with clients, relationships teams, risk partners, and external parties to close transactions.
