Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a credit risk professional to analyze client creditworthiness and underwriting for new lending opportunities. You will assess financial statements, projections, covenants, and collateral while supporting risk appetite policies.

You will lead underwriting tasks, review work of junior analysts, and coach teammates, ensuring timely, accurate analysis and collaboration with the credit team.

Qualifications

• 3 years commercial and/or corporate banking credit including financial analysis.
• Experience in underwriting, credit risk analysis, and closing of new or existing transactions.
• Proficient in commercial credit analysis and financial modeling.
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; team player.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Formal credit training or related certifications.
• Knowledge of three-statement financial models (3 statements) and DCF projections.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financials, projections, covenants, and collateral to assess credit risk.
• Prepare and review credit analysis and memos for approvals or renewals.
• Lead underwriting process and mentor junior analysts.
• Manage end-to-end credit approval workflow and timelines.
• Assess risk-adjusted profitability of transactions.
• Collaborate with credit team and stakeholders.
