Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to evaluate financing opportunities, underwrite credit exposure, and negotiate loan terms for new and existing clients within the Business Capital division.

You will lead financial analyses, model scenarios, and coordinate with Risk, Relationship Management, and Product teams to support loan decisions while coaching peers on credit requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in credit, underwriting, and structuring corporate lending transactions.
• Ability to work independently on complex and sensitive credit deals.
• Strong knowledge of legal documentation (commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements).
• Demonstrates ability to build collaborative partnerships with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of clients with underwriting/monitoring requirements of limited to moderate complexity.
• Deliver financial modeling, loan structure, industry and economic analyses for loan decisions.
• Coach junior teammates and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policy procedures.
• Lead loan structure conversations and complete loan documentation with internal/external partners.
• Interface with clients, sponsors, and intermediaries to document and close transactions.
