Job summary

Sanmina Fremont, located in Silicon Valley, seeks an Assembly Production Manager to lead and optimize our high‑volume assembly operations. You will oversee daily lines, drive safety, quality, and on‑time delivery, and mentor a skilled manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a technical field, 5+ years of leadership in assembly, and experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP/Oracle). This ITAR facility requires US citizenship or permanent residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in assembly/high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with manual to fully automated line configurations and material-handling systems.
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MES.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assembly lines and shifts to ensure schedules are executed.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and technicians.
• Identify bottlenecks using Lean, 5S, Six Sigma to increase throughput.
• Partner with QA to monitor defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA compliance, conduct safety audits, and eliminate hazards.
• Manage shop floor budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and material flow.
