Job summary

Sanmina Fremont, located in Silicon Valley, seeks an Assembly Production Manager to lead and scale its assembly manufacturing operations. You will oversee daily processes, guide a high-performing team, and ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will blend strategic leadership with hands-on manufacturing expertise, driving continuous improvement on the shop floor, with ITAR considerations for a US‑based facility and a requirement for US citizenship or permanent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience specifically within an assembly or high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MES.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assembly lines and shifts to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules are fully executed.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and assembly technicians while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to monitor defect rates, execute root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA guidelines, lead safety audits, and proactively eliminate physical hazards on the assembly floor.
• Manage shop floor budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and material workflows to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
