Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

Job description

Job Purpose

The Assembly Production Manager will lead, optimize, and scale our assembly manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee daily assembly processes, lead a high‑performing manufacturing team, and ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate blends strategic leadership with hands‑on technical manufacturing expertise to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assembly lines and shifts to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules are fully executed.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and assembly technicians while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to monitor defect rates, execute root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA guidelines, lead safety audits, and proactively eliminate physical hazards on the assembly floor.
• Manage shop floor budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and material workflows to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent manufacturing experience).
• 5+ years of leadership experience specifically within an assembly or high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Deep familiarity with manual, semi‑automated, or fully automated assembly line configurations and material‑handling systems.
• Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range (annual): $120,000 - $150,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
