Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Production Specialist I for the UD Fill - A2 Night Shift (7pm-7:30am Sunday-Tuesday and alternating Saturdays) in Texas. You will support setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products while upholding safety and quality.

The role emphasizes aseptic gowning, line efficiency, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment. The position requires high school education, aseptic gown certification, and familiarity with GMP/quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Must have the ability to become aseptic gown certified.
• Maintain aseptic gowning certification.
• Commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Familiarity with POMs, SAP and MAXIMO.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
• Ability to stand 8–12 hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
• May work 40–60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Become aseptic gown certified and maintain certification.
• Adhere to aseptic practices and maintain gowning certification.
• Follow EH&S procedures and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Perform housekeeping on finishing lines and complete line clearances.
• Assist in setup of automated packaging equipment.
• Operate packaging equipment to produce finished product.
• Conduct quality checks and in-process sampling.
• Maintain 6S of parts and tooling on the production floor.
• Escalate safety, quality, or technical issues to appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve line efficiency.
