Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking an ASE Technician in the Service Operations department to diagnose, repair, and replace automotive parts.

The role requires completing VIP multipoint inspections, servicing vehicles, and adhering to safety and loss prevention programs. Qualified candidates will have ASE certifications (4+ specialties), appropriate driver’s license and state inspection credentials, plus several years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals or regulations.
• Explain technical information to customers and colleagues clearly.
• Compute subtotals, totals, tax rates and ratios accurately.
• Diagnose and propose solutions for automotive problems across systems.
• Follow written/oral instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, repair, and replacement of automotive parts.
• Ensure Service Work Orders and VIP Multipoint inspections are completed.
• Maintain shop safety and cleanliness and support safety programs.
• Operate with 80% billed labor hours target and minimize comebacks.
• Coordinate with Service Manager for parts and workflow efficiency.

Education

Two-year college or technical school

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Certified Technician
