Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking an ASE Technician who will diagnose and repair automotive systems, ensuring safety and quality while following VIP processes. The role emphasizes proper documentation, MPI completion, and customer engagement.

The technician must maintain ASE certifications (G1 and related A-series as applicable), participate in LMS and safety training, and work 40 hours per week in a non-exempt environment, with a focus on first-time right service.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule form instructions.
• Perform required types of automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI prior to initiating service and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts.
• Maintain safety, quality standards and shop cleanliness.
• Engage in required training and ASE certification as specified.
