Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Project Manager with AS/400 Applications to lead complex delivery, modernization, and enhancement initiatives for Property and Casualty Insurance. You will guide planning, risks, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable enterprise solutions.

You will translate policy, claims, and billing requirements into actionable specs and manage release activities while ensuring security and audit compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience, including managing complex enterprise projects.
• Strong project management covering planning, finances, resources, risks, and release delivery.
• Working knowledge of the AS/400 application ecosystem (SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, Db2 for i, CLP).
• Experience leading legacy modernization initiatives in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance processes (policy administration, claims, billing).
• Experience applying predictive, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of AS/400 projects with scope, schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Oversee development, enhancements, and modernization efforts using AS/400 tools.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Translate insurance requirements into actionable user stories and specs.
• Manage quality, change, release, and deployment activities with acceptance criteria.
• Provide clear project reporting on progress, financials, risks, and decisions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, data protection, and audit needs.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned in AS/400 delivery.
