Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Senior Business Development Engineer focused on the US Army. The role reports to the Director of Applications Engineering and collaborates with Engineering and Business Development to deliver tailored, interoperable solutions for Army evaluation teams.

Travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and demonstrations; remote work is possible depending on location.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with SDRs, IP-based tactical routing, and tactical comms.
Security clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
Willingness to travel 50% to customer sites and DoD environments.

Responsibilities

Analyze US Army Capability Set requirements and Mission Command network goals to map gaps to our tactical radios.
Conduct market research to identify end-to-end product solutions and synergies with industry partners.
Design and build demonstrations tailored to the Army, highlighting future tactical edge networks.
Lead technical planning, network configuration, and field trials with BD and Applications Engineering teams.
Collaborate to leverage testing data to ensure architectures are sound.
Engage Army program managers and DoD stakeholders to translate tech capabilities into requirements.
Translate Army feedback into actionable product roadmaps and track progress.
Serve as technical anchor for RFI/RFP responses and proposal accuracy.
