Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Senior Business Development Engineer for the US Army. The role focuses on translating Army requirements into technically sound, field-ready solutions and coordinating with engineering and business development teams.

You will travel up to 50% for meetings and demonstrations, with 100% remote work possible depending on location. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain it within 15 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years with HS diploma.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering with SDRs, IP-based tactical routing, and tactical communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of US Army procurement pathways and Army Futures Command priorities.
• Willingness to travel 50% to customer sites and DoD environments.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Army Capability Set requirements and map gaps to our tactical radio capabilities.
• Conduct market research to identify end-to-end product solutions and partner synergies.
• Design demonstrations tailored to the Army showcasing future tactical edge network possibilities.
• Lead network configuration, field trials, and evaluations with teams across BD and Applications Engineering.
• Serve as technical anchor for RFI/RFP responses and ensure proposal accuracy.
