Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Project Manager-Architect for our Buildings group in NYC. This role manages a portfolio of NYCHA projects spanning facade, residential renovation, and community facility work, reporting to the NYM Architecture Team Leader.

The position requires deep familiarity with NYCHA procurement, DOB processes, and NYCHA compliance, with responsibility for both project delivery and financial oversight across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in architecture or A/E project management with senior-level responsibility.
• Experience managing public agency clients in New York City and familiarity with procurement, contracting and compliance.
• Hands-on contract administration, fee tracking, billing and change order management in architecture or multi-disciplinary A/E.
• Familiarity with NYCHA compliance requirements including Section 3 and M/WBE; strong client-facing capabilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of project management platforms (Deltek, Procore, or comparable).
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to represent STV in client/agency settings.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project management lifecycle across the NYCHA portfolio, including contract administration, fee development, billing, changes, and additional services.
• Serve as primary client interface with NYCHA project managers and agency stakeholders; elevate strategic issues to Architecture Team Leader.
• Develop and maintain project workplans, staffing plans, and delivery schedules; coordinate staffing with resources.
• Coordinate with architecture staff, STV engineering disciplines, and external subconsultants to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Track and report project financials: fee burn, billing milestones, variances; present portfolio status to Architecture Team Leader.
• Manage NYCHA compliance obligations including Section 3 and M/WBE reporting across projects.
• Navigate DOB permitting, approvals, and regulatory coordination across scopes.
• Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies with firm leadership.
• Support NYCHA proposal development, staffing, and client-facing materials; participate in interviews/presentations.
