Job summary

NYCHA seeks an Affordable Housing Project Manager to support the Project Executive across all phases—from preconstruction through closeout. You will lead project teams, ensure budget, schedule, and design conformance, and develop bidding strategies with the PE and VP of Construction.

This on-site role requires 4+ years of field-based experience in affordable housing projects, strong communication, and a solid grasp of code regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Construction site (Field based) experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Executive (PE) in all project phases from preconstruction to closeout.
• Lead project team with PE to meet budget, schedule, and design conformance.
• Develop bidding strategy with PE and VP of Construction, including scope, schedule, and bid leveling.
• Create logistics plans with PMs/superintendent for efficient subcontractor work.
• Review subcontracts and purchase orders with PE before issuance.
• Hold ROJ meetings with procurement and PMs to review submittals, lead times, and on-site dates.
• Track open items, RFIs, and change orders.
• Manage DOB permitting and closeout processes.
• Problem-solve delays and issues during preconstruction and construction.
