Job summary

STV, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead complex architecture projects from kickoff through closeout. The SPA holds full technical authority on drawing sets, coordination, and subconsultants, while partnering with the Design Lead on design quality and with the PM Lead on schedules.

The role includes mentoring staff and contributing to firmwide technical standards. Senior level responsibility requires NYS registration within 6 months, 15+ years of experience, and

Qualifications

• RA licensed or eligible to obtain NYS licensure within 6 months.
• 15+ years of progressive architecture experience with independent project delivery.
• Fluency in the NYC Building Code and DOB filing/approval processes.
• Demonstrated record producing coordinated construction document sets for public/institutional clients.
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM; experience with ACC preferred.
• Strong technical detailing, constructability, and specification coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from kickoff through closeout, directing the architecture team day-to-day.
• Own drawing set and coordinate specifications with subconsultants.
• Collaborate with Design Lead on technical design intent and with PM Lead on schedule.
• Uphold code compliance and quality across the set for DOB filings and approvals.
• Mentor Project Architects and contribute to firmwide technical standards.
