Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based solutions. This remote leadership role combines hands-on architecture with management of a 5–7 engineer team.

You will guide architecture, drive modernization initiatives, and collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions on AWS and in microservices architectures.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering/appl. development.
5+ years of technical leadership/engineering management.
Strong hands-on architecture and solution design experience.
Strong Java and Spring Boot background.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and APIs.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, APIs, microservices, AWS, and AI-enabled solutions.
Develop high-level and low-level solution designs and ensure successful implementation.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers (approx. 5–7).
Drive projects from design through production delivery.
Partner with product, architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Lead cloud app development using modern AWS patterns.
Champion API-first design and microservices adoption.
Oversee API/integration design, security, and governance.
Support AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
Promote Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and observability best practices.
