Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Consultant- Architectural Engineering in New York, NY. The role focuses on leading design, assessment, and construction projects for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, with collaboration across teams and strong field expertise.

You will review codes, manage client relationships, and provide technical leadership across BES projects for owner, developer, and contractor clients. Hybrid work in NYC area offered.

Qualifications

• Good report-writing skills are required.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels and work independently with good judgment and critical thinking.
• Familiarity with general construction principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, assessment, and/or construction of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Collaborate with consultants to actively manage projects, including budgeting and client relationships.
• Perform field assessments, including ladders, lifts, scaffolds, confined spaces, rooftops, and mechanical, electrical, and fire protection spaces.
• Provide technical expertise within architecture, engineering, construction, or related fields for assessments, upgrades, maintenance, and restoration of the built environment.
• Research building codes and standards (historical and current).
• Review/research product submittals, samples, mock-ups, testing reports, data sheets, and warranties.
