Job summary

Rimkus is seeking an Associate Consultant - Architectural Engineering to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This is ideal for an early-career engineer with experience in structural design and building systems across commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Under senior guidance, you will assist with design, assessment, investigation, and construction of buildings nationwide, including adaptive reuse and forensic evaluations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other BIM software.
• Strong understanding of wood, masonry, and concrete construction.
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
• Ability to interpret reports, specifications, and codes.
• Ability to prepare scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed engineers on design, assessment, and construction of buildings.
• Assist with building assessments, restorations, and new construction.
• Support evaluations for structures damaged by fire, wind, or impact.
• Participate in adaptive reuse projects and facility upgrades.
• Prepare technical reports, findings, and repair recommendations.
