Job summary

Rimkus seeks a Mechanical Engineer Senior Consultant to provide technical leadership on assessments, design, restoration, maintenance, upgrades, and new construction for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate will lead projects from initial assessment through completion, perform field investigations, prepare technical reports and drawings, and collaborate with stakeholders nationwide, advancing innovative, sustainable building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering design experience.
• Experience evaluating, designing, and assessing building mechanical systems.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects across multiple disciplines.
• Serve as primary project contact, delivering on schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with licensed professionals in design, assessment, renovation, restoration, and construction.
• Provide technical expertise for building systems assessments, upgrades, and new construction.
• Develop reports, specifications, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary consultants to deliver client reports.
• Support business development with technical input and budget guidance.
