Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Consultant to support Built Environment Solutions projects for property owners, developers, investors, lenders, and contractors. You will deliver technical analyses, write reports, and present solutions while mentoring others and collaborating across disciplines.

The role emphasizes field and office work, interpreting codes, and providing clear recommendations to enhance asset performance and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is required.
• 3–5 years of professional construction experience on ground-up or renovation projects.
• EIT or PE designation is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prepare tailored reports for clients.
• Provide technical expertise for building assessments, repairs, renovations, maintenance, restoration, and new construction projects.
• Work with licensed professionals on design and construction of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Perform site assessments in all areas of the subject site.
• Review local and state building codes and standards.
• Review product submittals, samples, mock-ups, testing reports, data sheets, and warranties.
• Read and understand construction drawings and specs.
• Evaluate construction change orders by reviewing scope, cost, and impact.
