Job summary

Rimkus is seeking an Associate Consultant in Architectural Engineering to join our nationwide team. The role focuses on design, assessment, investigation, and construction of commercial, residential, industrial, and multifamily buildings.

You will work under senior engineers and gain exposure to new construction, adaptive reuse, forensic evaluations, and remediation of damage from fire, wind, and other events. Strong CAD/BIM skills and a collaboration mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering is required; advanced degree is a plus.
• 0-4+ years of structural design or building engineering experience.
• Experience with commercial, residential, multifamily, or industrial projects preferred.
• Hands-on with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software as part of design work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed engineers across design, assessment, and construction of diverse buildings.
• Assist with building assessments, restorations, renovations, and new construction projects.
• Support repair designs for structures damaged by fire, wind, or other events.
• Participate in adaptive reuse projects and facility upgrades to meet changing needs.
• Conduct engineering calculations and prepare technical reports and proposals.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and field data to ensure compliance.
• Assist with field investigations and site condition assessments.
• Coordinate with internal and external consultants to deliver reports on time.
