Rimkus seeks an Associate Consultant - Architectural Engineering to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This position is ideal for an motivated early-career engineer with experience in structural design and building systems, working on a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, industrial, and multifamily projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Strong understanding of wood, masonry, and concrete construction.
• Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret reports, specs, and building codes.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and reports.
• Client-service mindset with ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced env.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering/design software.
• Valid driver's license and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed engineers on design, assessment, and construction of buildings.
• Assist with building assessments, restorations, renovations, and new construction.
• Support evaluations and repair designs for damage from fire, wind, etc.
• Participate in adaptive reuse and facility upgrades.
• Conduct assignments per scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with internal and external consultants across disciplines.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to structural design.
• Review codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Assist with field investigations and condition assessments.
