Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Architect to lead design development, coordinate with disciplines, and ensure integrated project deliverables across multiple offices in the US.

You will guide design intent, oversee technical quality, mentor junior staff, and participate in business development while applying QA/QC standards and regulatory requirements to deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field is required.
• US architectural registration is required.
• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead elements of design, production, coordination, and detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and design leadership to carry through design intent.
• Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
• Communicate project status, design intent, construction updates, and other critical information to owners, consultants, and clients.
• Participate in Business Development activity and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership to help grow top line.
• Perform field site observations and site walks.
• Facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies.
• Contribute to QA/QC standards and ensure statutory requirements are met.
