Job summary

CannonDesign, a multidisciplinary design practice, seeks an experienced architect to contribute conceptual design and full architectural support across projects. Under supervision of licensed architects, you will craft compelling 2D/3D visuals and integrate client objectives within budgets and owner parameters.

You will collaborate with interiors and other experts, mentor junior staff, and occasionally travel for site visits.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field required.
Minimum 6 years of related professional experience required.
Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred.
Experience with real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently and in collaboration with others contribute conceptual design and provide full architectural design support throughout project.
Incorporate business and communication objectives in strategic design solutions.
Participate in client meetings, and effectively present selective design ideas as directed to clients.
Prepare client presentation materials, particularly 2D and 3D design visualizations, to convey the design in a compelling and sophisticated manner.
Design projects to meet internal and external project requirements, including budget and other owner parameters.
Work within an integrated practice by closely collaborating with interior designers and typology subject matter experts on holistic design solutions from exterior to interior.
Proactively identify, communicate, collaborate to resolve project-related issues.
Provide mentoring to junior team members; support an environment of collaboration, experimentation, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Perform overtime work and travel, including site visits if appropriate.
May perform other responsibilities as needed.
