Job summary

Ford Pro is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architectural vision and build scalable SaaS platforms, APIs, and frontends for fleet management. The role emphasizes data-intensive back-end services, real-time pipelines, and high-scale cloud deployments.

You’ll guide multi-team roadmaps, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to translate complex needs into robust architectural designs and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in technical leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing and building scalable data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
• 5+ years API development with Java/Kotlin and frontend frameworks like React/Angular.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data pipelines.
• Proven leadership across engineering teams and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS applications.
• Lead hands-on development of core architecture components and services.
• Mentor engineers, establish patterns, and raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business to shape strategy.
• Scope, estimate, and plan multi-quarter enterprise initiatives.
• Improve deployment practices, reliability, and performance.
