Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks an Archaeologist lead to manage small field crews, conduct Phase I & monitoring activities, and assist with reporting. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and data collection in diverse field conditions.

Minimum 3+ years CRM field experience, anthropology degree, and accredited field school are required. Travel to Texas sites is expected, with hybrid office options in Houston/Round Rock.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CRM field experience in archaeology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related field.
• Completion of an accredited archaeological field school.
• Experience in CRM Phase I/II/III survey or excavation.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews in Phase I archaeological work and monitoring.
• Coordinate field scheduling and logistics with the Section Head or Senior Archaeologist.
• Prepare and assist writing sections of archaeological reports.
• Document field efforts in standardized formats and notes.
