Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Senior Archaeologists to support a range of western U.S. projects with desktop and field-based cultural resources expertise for government, military and commercial clients.

In this role you will lead projects, mentor staff, manage complex cultural resource programs, and engage clients while ensuring compliance with NHPA, NEPA and other regulations. The position offers hybrid/remote options and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
• Meet Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional archaeological fieldwork experience.
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Principal Investigator.
• Ability to walk long distances over unfamiliar terrain and carry field equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently and for long periods.
• Experience using GPS technology.

Responsibilities

• Track and provide updates on discipline-specific topics, including regulatory changes.
• Forecast workload and advise on staffing.
