Job summary

Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation in Nespelem, WA, seeks a Senior Archaeologist to perform both office and field duties, including scopes of work, budgets, and field management. Responsibilities include field surveys, testing, mitigation, mapping, photography, and artifact processing.

The role requires Master’s level education in relevant fields, 4 years CRM field experience, and supervisory capability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, History, Archaeology, or CRM pertinent to the position.
• 4 years field archaeology experience, CRM contract work.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scopes of work and budgets for projects.
• Conduct archaeological fieldwork (survey, testing, mitigation, treatment).
• Prepare site maps, site forms, and artifact screening; write reports after fieldwork.
• Serve as Field Director or Crew Chief on projects; review Section 106 letters.
